Portals, and the
audiences that use them.

Tech 52 designs, builds and runs web portals — directories, membership areas, listings and publishing platforms — advises on the technology underneath them, and plans the advertising that brings people through the door. Three registered activities, one accountable team, one written price.

Fifty-two weeks Build Advise Publish

01 — What the company does

Three filings,
one workflow

A portal is not finished when it launches. It has to be built properly, kept running by someone who understands the stack, and given an audience — and those three jobs usually sit with three different suppliers who blame each other. Tech 52 was registered to hold all three, so the argument stops at one desk.

01

SIC 63120 · Web portals

We build the portal

Directories, listings, member areas, resource libraries and publishing platforms — designed around the way people actually search a site, built to be edited by the people who own it, and handed over with the keys.

02

SIC 62020 · IT consultancy

We advise on the stack

Platform reviews, architecture and integration decisions, hosting and performance, analytics and measurement, and data protection readiness — written down as recommendations you can act on with or without us.

03

SIC 73110 · Advertising

We bring the audience

Campaign planning, copy and creative production, search and social media buying, and honest reporting afterwards. Media spend passes through at cost; we are paid for the work, not for the size of the budget.

03 — How we work

Five stages,
in that order

The sequence exists so the decision points sit with you, not with us. Nothing is built before the brief is agreed, and nothing is spent on media before the measurement works.

STAGE 01

Brief

You describe the portal and the people it is meant to serve; we ask the awkward questions. Within one working day of your first email you have a reply, and after the call you have a written brief — scope, assumptions, exclusions, timeline and a fixed price. Nothing starts until you accept it.

STAGE 02

Blueprint

Structure before pixels: the content model, the routes through the site, the search and filtering behaviour, the integrations, and the measurement plan. You approve a blueprint document, so the build has nothing left to guess at.

STAGE 03

Build

Design and development in short, visible increments on a staging URL you can open at any time. Accessibility is targeted at WCAG 2.2 AA, performance is measured rather than assumed, and every change is in a repository that belongs to you.

STAGE 04

Launch

Content loaded, redirects mapped, analytics and consent configured, backups proven by an actual restore, and a written handover with the credentials, the diagrams and a short recording of how to run the thing. The site is live and yours on the same day.

STAGE 05

Run & reach

Care and maintenance if you want it, advertising if you need it. Campaigns run in your own accounts, budgets are visible to you in real time, and each month you get a plain-English report on what was spent, what it produced and what we intend to change.

04 — The terms of trade

Structure beats promises.

Tech 52 was incorporated in February 2026, so we do not put client counts, logos or track-record figures on this page — there is no honest way to. What we can offer on day one is an arrangement with no incentive to sell you the wrong thing. These are commitments, not measurements.

§

No commission on media spend

Advertising budget is paid by you, directly to the platform, at cost. Our fee is fixed against the agreed scope, so "spend more" is never in our interest.

§

No reseller tier, no referral fees

We hold no partner status with a host, CMS or ad platform. Build, buy or leave alone — the three answers pay us the same.

§

You own everything

Domains, hosting, repositories, content and advertising accounts are registered in your name. We are a user you can remove.

§

Fixed price, written first

Scope, assumptions and exclusions are agreed before work begins. If the scope changes, the change is quoted before it is done — never after.

§

One working day to reply

Every enquiry to support@tech52.org gets a human answer within one working day, including the ones that turn out not to be for us.

§

Thirty days' notice, no lock-in

Ongoing care and media retainers run month to month. Leaving takes an email and a handover, not a negotiation.

05 — Who a portal is usually for

Organisations whose website
is the product

Not a brochure with a contact form — a site people come back to, search, submit things to, and belong to. That is the work we are set up for, at the scale where the person paying for it is also the person who will run it.

  • Trade & business directories
  • Membership bodies
  • Professional associations
  • Independent publishers
  • Listings & marketplaces
  • Courses & resource libraries
  • Community & local portals
  • Events & venue guides
  • Recruitment boards
  • Multi-branch service firms

If your project is a straightforward marketing site, say so — we will tell you honestly whether it needs a company like this one.

07 — Asked before signing

Questions worth
asking us

The six that decide whether a supplier is worth having. If yours is not here, send it — the answer will be as direct as these.

No. Media spend is paid by you, directly to the platform, and passes through at cost — we never invoice it and never mark it up. Our work is charged as a fixed fee against a written scope, which means advising you to reduce a budget, pause a channel or stop advertising entirely costs us nothing. It is the single most important thing to check about any agency, so check it about us too.

You do, from day one. Wherever the platform allows it, domains, hosting, repositories and advertising accounts are created in your organisation's name and we are added as a user who can be removed in a single click. Content, designs and the code we write for you are yours on payment. There is no scenario in which ending the relationship costs you your platform or your campaign history.

No. We hold no reseller agreement, partner tier, certification badge or referral commission with any hosting company, CMS vendor or advertising platform. That is deliberate: it means "build it", "buy something off the shelf" and "leave what you have alone" all pay us the same, so the recommendation can follow the evidence.

Email support@tech52.org with what the portal is for and who it is meant to reach. You get a human reply within one working day and, if it looks like a fit, a scoping call. After that call you receive a written brief setting out scope, assumptions, exclusions, timeline and a fixed price. Nothing is built and nothing is invoiced until you accept it in writing.

Often, yes. We begin with a written platform review — hosting, security posture, dependency and update status, performance, analytics, content structure and accessibility — and set out plainly what is worth keeping, what should be repaired and what genuinely needs rebuilding. Sometimes that report concludes the site is fine and the money is better spent on the audience. We will say so if it does.

It is a fair question and we will not talk around it. TECH 52 LIMITED was incorporated on 23 February 2026, so there is no long client list to point at, and you will not find invented ones on this site. What reduces the risk is structural: fixed prices agreed before work starts, staged delivery you can stop between stages, everything registered in your name as it is created, month-to-month terms on anything ongoing, and no commission that could bend our advice.

08 — Next

Tell us what the portal is for.

A paragraph is enough to start: what it does, who it is for, and what has to be true for it to be worth building. You will have a considered reply within one working day.
